ADVENT Clutch Rear Derailleur for 1×9 Speed

Designed with real life riders in mind, the ADVENT rear derailleur packs trail-ready features into the most attainable wide range drivetrain on the market. The clutch uses a proprietary ratchet-and-pawl tension assembly for more durable and stronger chain management over rough terrain.  This modular design is also easily adjustable and fully repairable. The derailleur kinematics are also precisely tuned to use a more direct cable path, making the shifting response consistent across all gears. With bombproof construction capable of handling the realest mountain bike abuse, ADVENT competes favorably with drivetrains that cost twice as much.

Robust & Repairable Clutch

Existing clutch mechanisms on the market wear down easily and require frequent readjustments. microSHIFT’s patented clutch uses proven ratchet and pawl technology similar to hubs. The four pawls actuate asynchronously to restrain the cage and stabilize chain movements. The result is a robust system that provides higher durability and chain stability.

Media Reviews

Pinkbike on ADVENT

“The most value-oriented drivetrains tend to get overlooked, but they do something well – they get you out and riding. I thought that I would be eager to pull this off of my bike and get back to 12-speed, but two months later I’ve proved myself wrong. Advent works better than it should given its price. It’s functional, inexpensive, and bombproof. It’s the best option I’ve ridden for a drivetrain on a budget.”

Bikerumor.com on ADVENT

“Overall, the microSHIFT ADVENT group is worth a look for anyone on a tight budget, looking to revive an old bike for a friend or spouse, or just give your kids a high functioning, modern wide range kit so they can get up the hills easier. With a blacked out look, there’s little about it that screams “cheap”, and the performance matches groups costing much more. Well done, microSHIFT!”
