Global Sales Manager

This position can be Remote, or in-person in Minneapolis, MN, or in-person in Taichung City, Taiwan.

Overview:
As the Microshift Global Sales Manager, you will play a key role in building the Microshift brand by driving sales across all channels in both North American and international markets.

You will interact with both internal teams and external customers. Internally, you will be working in a fast-paced environment, leading and collaborating with cross-functional teams on various initiatives. The teams include sales, marketing, purchasing and product development. Externally, you will be fostering meaningful (aftermarket & OEM) customer relationships and influence decision-makers to invest in the brand. Your goal: to grow global sales through strategic initiatives and effective execution though the helps of the organization and business relationships.

Your daily responsibilities can be categorized and detailed below:

  1. Drive Sales Initiatives [25%]
    • Build and strengthen new and existing relationships with (AM & OE) customers via virtual and in-person meetings.
    • Collaborate with distributors to grow revenue and increase market adoption.
    • Build and enhance distribution channels to ensure aftermarket availability.
    • Introduce new products and champion early adoption among (AM & OE) customers.
  1. Coordinate Sales Strategy [25%]
    • Analyze sales data from distributors and internal sources to drive additional sales.
    • Develop (aftermarket) sales goals and strategies to each market and sales channel.
    • Stay informed on industry movements through frequent interactions with the internal sales team and customers.
    • Coordinate with the vendor’s sales team to ensure a seamless (OE) customer experience.
  1. Collaborate on Marketing Content and Distribution [20%]
    • Identify marketing content needs based on market feedback and activity.
    • Partner with the marketing team to create and distribute marketing content and drive distributor sales.
  1. Cross-Functional Collaboration [15%]
    • Collaborate with the Microshift’s sales and marketing team to support other departmental initiatives.
    • Share market insights across departments.
  2. Other Responsibilities [15%]
    • Take on additional duties as required to support the overall success of the team and organization.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Required Qualifications:
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in demand generation roles (sales, marketing) within the bicycle industry.
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in working with international customers.
    • Love bikes.
    • Proven ability to work in a team environment.
    • Proven ability to manage projects effectively and meet deadlines.
    • Advanced influence, collaboration, and communications skills across countries and cultures.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • In-depth knowledge of value proposition in bicycle drivetrain manufacturers.
    • Strong business and financial acumen, with hands-on experience using tools like CRM platforms.
